Before the construction of the overpass all cars had to cross the railway through a level crossing, which was often closed due to heavy rail traffic. Analysis showed that the best solution is to build an overpass instead of existing level crossing. First actions started in 1980, and final works were made in 1983, after the overpass was opened. The structure is a continuous 19-span beam made from prefabricated elements (BSK beams). The outer spans are 17,9 m long, the center spans 18,3 m long. The north side of the bridge is provided with a pavement On the other side the pedestrians use a footbridge, as there is no pavement on the viaduct. It is worth mentioning, that due to rather negative experiences with such prefabricated beams most similar bridges in the country have already been demolished.
